Sinobiopharma, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company whose main focus is on anesthesia-assisted agents and cardiovascular drugs. The company announced yesterday that they have entered an agreement with Anhui Xianfeng Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd (Xianfeng) to manufacture and co-market Clindamycin and L-alanyl-L-glutamine.

Clindamycin is an antibiotic used to treat anaerobic bacterial infections, and is also used as a topical acne treatment cream.  Parenteral nutrition product L-alanyl-L-glutamine is prescribed for patients after surgery.

SNBP owns the drug certificates, drug registration approval documents and production technologies of the two products.

Under the agreement, SNBP will make the production technologies available to Xianfeng for a fee. Xianfeng can then use their own manufacturing facilities to lower production costs.  SNBP will pay Xianfeng to manufacturing the drugs, and the companies will jointly market the products.

Xianfeng has the GMP-certified facilities for the production of Clindamycin and L-alanyl-L-glutamine and is a strong marketing partner,” Dr. Lequn Lee Huang, chairman and CEO of Sinobiopharma stated in the press release. “We expect production to start later this year and are confident this cooperation will help fuel the continued growth of Sinobiopharma.”
